Got this myself on my phone, as well as it just declined to update. Below's what benefited me.

Edit: this seems to be an issue that Facebook are aware of. It's an issue with the Facebook application, as well as not a generalised Play Shop concern.

This is what benefited me a minimum of.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Shop, Clear information and Clear cache

  2. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Provider > Manage space, Clear all data as well as Clear cache


It doesn't hurt if you restart your phone before you attempt upgrading facebook again. And, the set up was SLOW. Simply a minimum of 4-5 minutes. Yet, it did work. If not try to uninstall it, or merely wait for a repair.
