Facebook App Will Not Update | Update

Got this myself on my phone, and also it simply refused to upgrade. Here's what helped me.

Edit: this appears to be an issue that Facebook recognize. It's an issue with the Facebook app, and not a generalised Play Shop problem.

This is what helped me at least.

  1. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Store, Clear information and also Clear cache

  2. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Services > Manage room, Clear all data and Clear cache


It doesn't hurt if you reactivate your phone prior to you attempt updating facebook once again. As well as, the install was SLOW. Just at the very least 4-5 mins. However, it did job. If not attempt to uninstall it, or just wait for a fix.
