Turn Off Location Facebook
When Facebook made a decision to take out efforts from its short-term check-in solution, Places, it rapidly implemented a more easy location-sharing function that does not even have a name. It's simply there. And it's weird.
Currently, whenever you compose an article on a mobile phone or desktop, you'll see a light-gray area summary in the lower left of the standing box.
Facebook sneakily grabs your place using GENERAL PRACTITIONER or Wi-Fi router, and also connects it to your post, so your friends can enjoy an extra thorough tracking experience.
Do you bear in mind choosing in to that? Me neither.
In fact, if you dig through your privacy and account setups, the option to switch off location-sharing isn't offered. However, it's rather simple to transform it off. Below's how:
- Considering that the place is shown in light grey, it's extremely easy to miss out on. Constantly inspect the reduced left of the status box to see if a location is attached.
- If you get on the Web, simply float the arrow over the place and click the "X." Your location will no more be affixed, also to future standings. If you later change your mind, just click the location marker to manually enter your place, yet beware: it will be affixed once more for all future updates (unless you turn it off once more).
-In the Facebook mobile application, touch the location to remove it. On the apple iphone, you can turn off location services for Facebook totally by mosting likely to Setups > Area Services, and also transforming it off for Facebook.
