Got this myself on my phone, and it simply refused to upgrade. Here's what benefited me.

Edit: this appears to be a concern that Facebook are aware of. It's an issue with the Facebook app, and also not a generalised Play Store concern.

This is what helped me a minimum of.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Shop, Clear data and also Clear cache

  2. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Provider > Manage room, Clear all data and also Clear cache


It does not injured if you reboot your phone before you try updating facebook again. And also, the set up was SLOW. Simply at least 4-5 mins. Yet, it did job. Otherwise attempt to uninstall it, or merely await a solution.
